Le Petit Bistro is an open air affair located along Gaba road in the Kampala suburb of Kansanga. Here you will find very basic french offerings lacking the sophistication of what one would normally expect to find in a french restaurant - even in Africa. This is particularly evident in the sauces and plate presentation. Food tastes and looks like home cooking - not bad, but not that memorable either. Steak Diane is their top seller, but we prefer the chicken in a Tarragon cream sauce. Both are about 20k UGX. Service is a tad above standard for Uganda. All things considered, this restaurant gets a mild recommendation from us!

its evidently true, le petit bistro was a stone's throw from where i used to work , this 2007, and for sure the service was so diff form wat it is now i had my lunch there everyday day with my bosses who are in this case very particular europeans as u know, it was actually impressive. went back just a year ago and maaaan it was open but nobody was there to serve anything until a good 10mins. i think the management was changed.
